Obedience

Obedience is important. Being obedient is not what brings salvation, but being obedient draws me closer to God. He longs for us to be obedient to him and his word through a motivation of love for him. The last two verses in this post are the words of Jesus and it shows that he wants us to be obedient to him. If we love him, we should aim to do what he would have us to do. We won't always be perfect, but we can strive to be more and more obedient as we journey through our walk with Christ.
