Sometimes bad things do happen to good people

This world is far from perfect, and that's because sin is a part of our world. When the first sin was committed, this world changed. Sometimes just because sin is a part of our world, heartbreaking circumstances can arise. Sometimes bad things happen to us, and it is directly related to a sin we have personally committed while other times bad things happen when we didn't commit a specific sin to cause it. In this lesson, we look first at Moses and how he wasn't allowed to enter the promised land because he had disobeyed God and struck the rock instead of speaking to it. The other example we studied was Job and how he hadn't done anything to specifically cause the tragic events that happened to him. Both of these men were faithful followers of God, but bad things still happened in their lives. I also looked at a verse in Isaiah for comfort when bad things happen in our lives. God is still in control no matter what happens, and He's still working things together for our good (Romans 8:28). This post includes a 3 verse lesson and a traceable.

On the above painting, I used a straw. I put scissors into the straw and cut little slits to make a stamper.
