We all get so caught up in what the world has to offer. We get so carried away in the opinions of others, but what's on the inside? Jesus said to the pharisees that they must clean the inside of the cup and dish, then the outside would be clean. What is inside us, our true character, comes out when we interact with others. Sometimes we can put up a good front, but when adversity hits, it's what's on the inside that comes out. This lesson uses Romans 12:2 which is about how we are called to stand apart from the world because we are transformed.1 Peter 3:3-4 is also used as an example of where God can see our true beauty, not in the outside appearance but that of our spirit.
